PostScript Level 2 emulation. Lexmark's advanced ColorGrade halftoning technology for inkjet printing provides 256 shades of intensity for each primary color, yielding 16.7 million addressable colors at an
effective screen frequency of 127. This makes even the finest details and the most subtle color nuances come alive on this 360 x 360 dots-per-inch printer. Even photographs -- especially photographs -- print
with raser-sharp detail. Lexmark has also engineered the 4079 with Image Diffusion, a technology which allows each color plane to print independently of the others, resulting in less overlap of color on any
given pixel. This minimizes those annoying bands, stairsteps and other distracting patterns. Now you can capture the fine light details in one area of your image as well as the intricate mid-tone fades in another.
